Mercury, Fire, and Rocks: My Summer of Retrograde Adventures + Current Astro Alignments

Okay, confession time: I haven’t sent an email since July. Why? Because the astrology has been absolutely bananas.

Mercury retrograde in Leo? Hands down the wildest ride I’ve had with Mercury in years. And trust me, I’ve had some rides. This one featured:

  • A trailer catching on fire on the highway (yes, actual flames,Mercury wasn’t messing around).

  • Docking our boat… on top of a rock. (10/10 do not recommend as a boating strategy.)

Each “adventure” took days to sort out.

Instead of losing my mind or trying to force everything back onto some perfect timeline, I leaned into it. I slowed down, laughed (eventually), and actually appreciated the cosmic pauses.

Then September rolled in with a massive eclipse, and honestly? It swallowed me whole.

My writing, my emails, my ability to show up with details… all got eclipsed.

But here’s the thing: Astrology is my GPS.

I knew things would go sideways, and instead of white-knuckling through, I gave myself permission to rest, reset, and respond in real time.

Now that the eclipse haze has lifted, I feel ready to dive back into consistency, for at least a cosmic minute or two.

Because let’s be real: as entrepreneurs (or “solo-preneurs,” depending on your flavor), consistency is the dragon we’re all trying to tame. And sometimes, it eats us alive. If you’re ready to stop wrestling that dragon alone, apply to join my Conscious Commerce Network mastermind

it’s where we turn chaos into clarity together <3

That’s why I created the Conscious Commerce Network mastermind. It keeps the crew (and myself) grounded when cosmic chaos is doing its thing. Honestly, sometimes it’s easier to show up for others than for yourself and that’s the beautiful part about being in service.

And here’s the truth I want you to take away: when the stars flip you upside down, you don’t fail for hitting pause. You’re human. You’re attuned. You’re listening. That is the work.

I’ll always aim to send astrology updates on the New and Full Moons, but if the energy has me upside down? I’ll choose taking care of myself over forcing it.

That way, when I do show up, I’m bringing you my best. Did I miss five moon-inspired emails? Yep. Oops. Do I forgive myself? Absolutely. Because I’m here now—and ready to rumble.

So thank you for sticking with me through the retrogrades, the fires, the rocks, and the eclipses. If Mercury can’t break me, nothing can.

And good news: I’m back in Vancouver for October (aka the new September this year).

Why do I say that? Well, astrologically speaking, September was unusually intense. Normally, September carries a back-to-school, back-to-routine kind of energy. It’s Virgo season, we usually feel like sharpening our pencils, organizing our calendars, and laying down some structure for the months ahead.

But this September? Not so much.

We had a Mercury retrograde dragging its shadow through Leo and Virgo, plus that massive eclipse energy shaking things up. Instead of “getting our sh*t together,” most of us were just responding to whatever curveballs life was throwing, pausing, resetting, and navigating breakdowns or breakthroughs.

That’s why October is bringing us the real “September vibe” this year.

As we moved out of eclipse season and Mercury finally got out of its retrograde funk, the sky opened up a bit of space for clarity, grounding, and forward momentum.

Today as we entre Libra season, this adds the balance and partnership energy, and then Scorpio’s depth helps us actually commit to the transformations we glimpsed in September.

So all that “new routine, fresh energy, let’s get consistent” vibe we usually feel at the start of fall is finally landing… just a month late.

So, yes, October is the new September!

And with all that fresh momentum finally here, it feels like the perfect time to ground into some practices, gather in community, and plug into a schedule that actually supports us.

Current Astro Alignments

As we shake off the eclipse haze and step into Libra season, the sky isn’t exactly letting us coast but it is offering clarity where there’s been confusion.

This week began with the Sun in Libra opposite Neptune retrograde in Aries. The Sun wants harmony and fairness, but Neptune loves fog, dreams, and illusions. If you feel like you’re seeing relationships, goals, or even yourself through a fun-house mirror, you’re not wrong. It’s your cue to sort what’s real from what’s wishful thinking.

Meanwhile, Mars just moved into Scorpio and it’s bringing the heat. Mars here doesn’t do surface-level action. It wants depth, transformation, and intensity. Think less “busy work” and more “cut through the noise and claim your power.”

Then there’s Libra season + the Autumn Equinox. Normally September gives us that tidy “back-to-school” vibe, but this year September got hijacked by retrogrades and eclipses. Which is why October feels like the real new beginning. Balance, beauty, and clarity are landing a month late, but they’re landing.

We’re also still feeling the ripple effects of the Virgo New Moon + Solar Eclipse from Sept 21. Virgo energy wants refinement in habits, health, and routines. If something recently broke down, it was probably showing you exactly where you need a reset.

And keep your eyes open for the Sun trining Uranus and Pluto later this week. That’s breakthrough energy — flashes of insight and powerful transformation that help cut through Neptune’s fog.

🌱 How You Might Feel This Week

  • A little foggy or second-guessing your instincts.

  • Pulled between craving harmony (Libra) and craving intensity (Scorpio).

  • Restless but also ready for a fresh start.

  • Noticing breakdowns in routines, but also glimpses of how to rebuild them stronger.

✨ Tips to Work With It

  • Don’t force clarity, if things feel unclear, wait before making big decisions.

  • Use the Mars-in-Scorpio energy to dive deep into one thing instead of scattering your energy.

  • Lean into rituals that bring balance: journaling, breathwork, movement, or grounding practices.

  • Remember: October really is the new September this year, you’re not late, you’re right on cosmic time!
