Full Moon in Aries: The Illumination of a New Pattern | Insights from Calgary

Updated: Oct 6

✈️ Calgary, Breathwork, and Cosmic Timing

ree

I know some of you are here just for the astrology, so feel free to scroll down to get all the details about today’s fiery Aries Full Moon. Or, if you’re in the mood to wander through a bit of my crazy, beautiful life first, stick around. Either way, you’re in for some cosmic insight.

I just got back from a trip to Calgary, where I spent the weekend doing a full day of astrology readings and hosted my very first Calgary Breathwave Circle and wow, the energy was something else. It was incredible not just because of the breath itself, but because of the people who showed up.

Every single person came ready to do their own work, to stay grounded in their own process, yet remain deeply attuned to the collective energy around them. There was this beautiful, unspoken trust, each person feeling what was theirs to feel while holding space for others to do the same. It created a powerful, seamless flow of connection.

I fully trust the universe to provide the exact people that need to be in circle together and I don't get hung up on the numbers of how MANY people attend, and oh boy did that theory work here in Calgary.

There’s something about Calgary that just feels possible. The people are reliable, grounded, and genuinely hungry for spiritual opportunities.

Maybe it’s the wide-open skies or the fact that life there moves at a slightly more sustainable pace, but the whole city hums with possibilities.

I feel my work is respected, appreciated, and needed there ..

which, let’s be honest, is pretty much the love language of a woman with 3 personal planets in Capricorn.

I also got to visit one of my very Libra friends while I was here, Angela. We’ve been friends since childhood, so you can imagine how many lifetimes we’ve spent negotiating fairness, balance, and beauty together. (We have South Node conjunct Venus in our synastry chart 😉) She put in the most fabulous hair extensions ( Yes, go to a double Libra for this kind of beauty work ;p) So if you are in the area and need a stylist - astrologically and actually she the best: @angelapacehair

You know those friends who just stick around forever, no matter what life throws at you?

Sometimes, when you look at your synastry charts together, you realize there’s something deeper at play. Connections between the inner planets and the lunar nodes can reveal powerful karmic alignments, the kind that make a friendship feel fated. It’s always a little wild when you finally compare charts with your best friend and discover it’s not just your imagination… it’s the stars agreeing.

If you’ve ever wondered what the stars say about your connection with a friend or partner, I offer joint chart sessions designed just for that.

As I step onto the plane back home, the Full Moon in Aries peaks at exactly 9:47 p.m. PST, lighting up the sky just as I should land back in Vancouver. (Because of course it does, Spirit has a flair for perfect timing.) I always seem to download major insights while flying, which makes sense for a double Sagittarius: higher altitude, higher consciousness!

So if you get a random text from me tomorrow night, it’s probably because your higher self decided to tap me on the shoulder somewhere over the Rockies.

I’m landing back home fired up: Ready to walk into my Tuesday morning meeting with a brand-new set of patterns for my own life.

This season is all about trailblazing leadership, innovating in new industries, and committing to stronger health and wellness practices. All very Aries things to do, and all feeling perfectly aligned with this next cycle.

🌕 Essence of a Full Moon in Aries

A Full Moon always represents a kind of culmination, emotional climax, or moment of illumination, something that’s been brewing now becomes clearer or more intense. When the Moon is in Aries, the themes of self, action, courage, impulse, and assertion are emphasized.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac: bold, fiery, and pioneering. So when your emotions (the Moon) light up in Aries, you may feel a stronger-than-usual urge to:

  • Express yourself honestly, perhaps even abruptly

  • Stand your ground, make bold moves, push ahead

  • Let go of things or relationships that feel restrictive

  • Reclaim independence or autonomy

  • Act on impulse or start something new

🌙 Key Meanings & Themes to Work With

  • Conflict between self and others: Because Aries sits opposite Libra, a Full Moon in Aries often accentuates the tension between doing what you want versus maintaining harmony in relationships.

  • Courage & assertion: This is good energy for taking a stand, speaking your truth, and shaking things up when things have been stalling.

  • Release and closure: Some emotional release may be necessary, especially around areas you’ve suppressed for the sake of others.

  • Raw, fiery emotions: Expect intensity, impatience, or sudden upsets. You (or others) may act from a place of gut reaction rather than slow deliberation. Remember Aries is not only the first sign. It is the first fire sign!

  • New beginnings: Even though it’s a Full Moon (a peak), Aries energy gives it a sense of re-launching. It’s a moment to recalibrate and push your purpose forward.

🔥 The Illumination of a New Pattern

We can think of this kind of like setting New Year's resolutions (in October ;)

This Aries Full Moon marks a fiery turning point: A moment of activation after months of astrological chaos.

Aries, being the first sign of the zodiac, initiates the entire astrological year. When the Full Moon lights up this energy, it illuminates new patterns and invites you to trail blaze fresh pathways for the next 12 months of your life.

Over the last two months, the cosmos has been swirling with intense shifts, from the disorienting Mercury retrograde in August to the transformative September eclipse, leaving many of us feeling ungrounded, reflective, and ready for clarity.

This lunation is your green light!

It’s the moment to shake off confusion and step boldly into your next chapter with purpose and courage.

Aries teaches us to initiate: to move first, trust our impulses, and embody the fearless leader within. This Full Moon is your invitation to start anew, to claim your independence, and to honor your inner fire.

🌕 Ritual for Renewal

Tonight (or the night after, when the Moon still shines bright), step outside under her glow. Take a deep breath, connect to your body, and speak your intentions aloud.

Tell the Moon exactly what you want to call into your life: The new patterns, habits, and ways of moving forward that feel aligned with who you are becoming.

Pour yourself a glass of water and hold it close as you do this outside under the moon light. Infuse it with your words, your heart, and your vision. Leave the glass under the moonlight (outside) overnight to absorb that cosmic charge.

In the morning, wake with gratitude, bless the water, and drink it as a sacred act of embodiment, a physical reminder that your intentions now live within you.

This Full Moon isn’t just closure; it’s a rebirth, a spark of fresh energy igniting your next evolution.
